whn the ball is near u, yr ciliary muscles contract while yr suspensory ligament relaxes, resulting in the lens becoming mre convex. whn the ball is far away, yr ciliary muscles relaxes while yr suspensory ligament contracts, resulting in the lens becoming less convex, thus the lighht rays and hit yr retina parrallelly, thus the ball is focused properly
